KADREA AGM 2019 was successfully held on March 21:

 The meeting saw thought leaders in our community come together. Stakeholders from reputed organizations like the Real Estate Council of BC, Office of the Superintendent of Real Estate, BC Real Estate Association, City of Kamloops, Venture Kamloops, Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, etc. delivered talks on insights and steps to strengthening our community. 11 motions were passed at the AGM.

KADREA is the proud title sponsor of Community Future's Junior Dragon's Den. An event which is currently in its mentoring phase, will see 10 teams battle it out on April 04, 2019 in the finals. 

Junior Dragon's Den is an entrepreneurial journey for young kids who have big business ideas. REALTORS® like Amy Leaf and Chris Chan have come forward to mentor these kids while they prepare their perfect 'pitch'.

KADREA APP Launched:

Trevor Koot, KADREA EO, released the much awaited KADREA App at the 2019 KADREA AGM. This app will provide REALTORS® with easy access to PDP credits, communication from stakeholders like BCREA, CREA and the Council, member directory and the Buyer Path platform.

BCREA announce 2019-2020 Board of Directors:

Top Row: REALTOR® Director Ray Harris, REALTOR® Director Cory Raven, Public Director Kam Raman, REALTOR® Director Dan Morrison, Past President James Palanio, REALTOR® Director Katherine Rutherford and Public Director Mark Sakai.

Changes coming to REALTOR® professional development:

The tentative implementation dates for these changes has been set to January 01, 2020. REALTORS® will still have to complete their requirement of 18 credits, with the difference that credits will now be referenced as hours. Following are the changes in brief:

- NO credits for Legal Update (mandatory courses by Council). 
- The focus is now on Hours and not Credits. 
- 12 out of 18 hours would have to be completed through PDP-accredited courses.
- 6 hours of learning through self-directed learning. 
- Get hours for in-brokerage learning, conferences, webinars etc.

Housing Market Adjusts To Mortgage Stress Test

BCREA reports that a total of 4,533 residential unit sales were recorded by the MLS® in February 2019, a decline of 27 per cent from the same month last year, as prospective home buyers continued to be sidelined by the mortgage stress test.
